One of the good things about being a “cheapskate” is that with a little advance planning, you can do a lot on your birthday for very little cash. Here’s a list of businesses that offer free birthday deals. In many cases, you’ll need to sign up for the establishment’s e-mail newsletter in order to get the freebie, so you might want to pick your favorites. When your birthday rolls around, they’ll send you an e-mail with a coupon for the freebie (in many cases, the coupons are good for a week or more). As an added bonus, they’ll also send you periodic e-mails with other discounts and freebies.
