This series meets on the first Thursday of the month and features local and regional authors who talk about their books and answer questions. The authors sell autographed books to interested guests and donate a signed copy to the library.
April’s featured author is Jared Millet. He spent more than twenty years as a librarian before leaving the public sector to write full time. He is the author of the noir-science fiction novel The Whisper and the dark fantasy trilogy The Battle for Majadan. His most recent short stories have appeared in Apex Magazine and Translunar Travelers Lounge, with others forthcoming in On Spec and Aurealis. His travel writing, including tales of ten months exploring South America, can be found online at TheEscapeHatch.net. He and his wife live in Atlanta, Georgia.
Friends of the Library is a non-profit organization that supports North Myrtle Beach Library with funding for programs, equipment, and supplies.
