The Carolina Forest Civic Association and Horry County Parks and Recreation have teamed up to put on the first-ever Carolina Forest Day.
The event will be held on Saturday, October 7th from 12pm until 5pm at the Carolina Forest Recreation Center.
“Carolina Forest is one of the fastest growing communities in America, and it’s home to a vibrant and ever-growing business community,” said CFCA President Carole vanSickler. “Our Board of Directors wanted to create a day that truly celebrates all that makes our community special, from service organizations to restaurants to Mom & Pop small businesses.”
Carolina Forest Day will be a “Community Celebration and Festival” and will feature free admission to the public.
Carolina Forest Day will feature:
- Business Expo with local small businesses
- Activities for kids such as Bounce Houses, indoor trick-or-treating, and an outdoor trunk-or-treat that will run from 2:00pm until 4:00pm
- A Services Pavilion that will feature County Government Departments and local community service organizations & nonprofits
- A food court with local food vendors
- An outdoor stage featuring live performances from local musicians
- A First Responders Corner with our local police, fire, and EMS featuring a fire truck for residents to visit
- And end with the Horry County Ghost of the Coast 5K and Fun Run
“I’m hopeful that this event will not only bring our community together, but be the start of a wonderful tradition for years to come for all of Carolina Forest’s families”
CFCA President Carole vanSickler
