Horry County Memorial Library and Horry County First Steps are delighted to reveal that they will be hosting a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony at Collins Park to celebrate Story Walk week.
The atmosphere is electric with anticipation as local officials, community leaders, and residents come together to launch a program aimed at promoting literacy, reading, health, exercise, and movement among the City of Conway’s population.

What is a Story Walk?
A story walk is like taking a fun adventure through a book! Imagine walking along a path and as you go, you get to read parts of a story that are posted along the way. It’s like going on a treasure hunt for words and pictures!
So, let’s say you’re walking in the park and you see signs with pages from a story. You get to read a little bit at each sign, and by the time you finish walking, you’ve read the whole story! It’s like reading a book while going on an awesome outdoor adventure. How cool is that?
