On Saturday, July 22, 2017, the 1st annual Rivertown Paddle Race & Regatta will take place on the Waccamaw river beginning at Kingston Marina in Conway. Admission is FREE for spectators. There’s a registration fee if you want to enter the race (fees vary based on level of participation).
This event, which you can view from the Conway Riverwalk, features stand-up paddleboard, kayak, and canoe 5K and 10K races. There will also be regatta-style sprints and relay races (two on board, reverse paddle, doggie paddle, best trick, and best costume).
The race runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the longer races taking place in the morning.
