I know where I’m going to be this weekend!
This Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the Annual Beach Music Festival will be held in downtown Myrtle Beach. Admission is free.
This event includes performances by Chubby Checker, The Spinners, The Embers, The Catalinas, Atlantic Groove, and The Craig Woolard Band. It also includes a beer garden, food and drink vendors, craft vendors, dancing, kids’ activities, a fireworks display, and an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the most people doing the twist during a Chubby Checker performance (from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.)
The festival will take place on Ocean Boulevard between 8th and 9th Avenue North. You might want to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
