On Friday, November 24, 2017, the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is holding its annual Holidays on the Boardwalk tree lighting ceremony at 9th Avenue and Ocean Boulevard, next to the volleyball courts. Admission is FREE.
In addition to the lighting ceremony, recording artist Lisa Crawford will be performing from 4 to 8 p.m. The tree lighting is at 6 p.m. There will also be visits with Mr. & Mrs. Claus (bring your camera), balloon artists, face painting, a Christmas Craft Table, and Holiday train rides ($3).
New this year is a Christmas Shopping experience for kids. For $5, your child may choose two gifts to surprise someone with on Christmas morning.
In the spirit of the season, the Oceanfront Merchants Association has also invited several area nonprofits to participate in Holidays on the Boardwalk by decorating a table, distributing their literature, and collecting donations from those who wish to give.
