Through September 5, 2011, Blue Star Museums is offering free admission to active-duty U.S. military personnel and their families.
This deal is open to active duty military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard), National Guard, and Reserve members and up to five immediate family members. In order to get free museum admission, you’ll need to show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID card, or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card (including those stamped URW and DB).
If your spouse is currently deployed, you’re also eligible. You’ll need to bring a DD Form 1173 ID Card, or DD Form 1173-1 ID Card to get in on the deal.
For a list of participating museums, click here. The closest one to Myrtle Beach is the Georgetown County Museum, and there are also a couple of participating museums in Charleston.
