On Saturday, April 22, 2017, The Market Common is hosting a Relay for Life event in Grand Park. The public has been invited to participate. Admission is free.
Relay for Life is an American Cancer Society fundraiser. This event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., includes music, food, games, entertainment, raffles, and more.
Here’s the schedule:
- Opening ceremony: 11 a.m.
- “Kids in Capes” Superhero costume event: 2 to 3 p.m. (includes a meet and greet and a costume parade)
- Survivors’ lap: 6 p.m.
- Caregivers’ lap: 6 p.m.
- Luminaria leremony: 8:30 p.m.
- Closing ceremony: 10:30 p.m.
