Here what you need to qualify for a free simple tax return:
- A filing status of Single or Married Filing Jointly
- No dependents/children
- No itemized deductions
- A taxable income of less than $100,000
Although the Federal tax return is free, it’ll cost you $39 if you also want H&R Block to do your state tax return.
