Grillers Cup BBQ Competition hosted by Lakewood Camping Resort – Open to the public

Lakewood Camping Resort is hosting their annual two-day Grillers Cup Barbecue Competition, and believe me, it’s going to be a finger lickin’ good time.

The public is invited to join and enjoy some fine homecooked BBQ.

We reached out to Lakewood Camping Resort about the public invite and were told this.

We will be allowing outside guest to come in for hallowood weekends! It will be $25 per car and you will need to come into the front office to receive a pass.

The annual Grillers Cup Barbecue Competition and Festival is a South Carolina Barbecue Association-sanctioned event. They create the rules, Lakewood Camping Resort just brings the fun together!

The two-day Grillers Cup BBQ Competition event includes:

Friday, September 22, 6 to 9 p.m. – A chicken wing tasting and competition. Competitors face off to have their recipes judged by local celebrities Friday evening. The event is also open to the public for tastings. Grillers will begin to serve food to the public from 6 p.m. – until.

Saturday, September 23, 11 a.m. til ?? – A BBQ (pork butt) cooking competition. The cookers will be judged on Saturday morning. The event opens to the public for tastings.

The awards ceremony will be held Saturday at the Band Stage.

More Entertainment and Fun at Lakewood Camping Resort

Guests can enjoy LIVE music and entertainment while chowing down. Resort staff will be bringing out the inflatables for little ones on Saturday.

This event will also feature a variety of vendors, and a silent auction tent full of fun prizes both Friday and Saturday.

Guests can also purchase $5 wristbands to use Lakewood amenities, including the Waterpark and Splash Pad!
