The annual Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon Weekend isn’t just for serious long distance runners. With several different fun races to choose from, it’s an awesome weekend for runners and walkers all over The Grand Strand! Runners and walkers are encouraged to attend along with strollers!
Test yourself by entering the Half-Marathon running along Ocean Blvd. or take on a 5k race, 1 Mile fun run, and/or a 1-mile dog dash run at Market Common! Over 3,000 runners and walkers are expected to participate in this weekend long events.
Here’s the breakdown of all the races involved:
Coastal 5K, 1 Mile Fun/Walk & Doggie Dash
SATURDAY, OCT. 16 AT 7:30 AM
THE MARKET COMMON
The Coastal 5k course is completely within the Market Common, it starts and finishes at Farrow Parkway and Hackler Street.
The 1 Mile Fun/Walk & Doggie Dash consists of one loop around Grand Park Lake.
Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon
SUNDAY, OCT. 17 AT 7:00 AM
The Mini Marathon starts and finishes the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk at 8th Avenue North, to Mr Joe White Avenue, to Grissom Parkway to 62nd Avenue North, to Ocean Blvd where the finish line around 9th Avenue North Boardwalk area.
- Start at 8th Avenue North and turn left onto Ocean Blvd.
- Turn left onto Mr. Joe White Avenue
- Turn right onto Robert Grissom Parkway
- Turn right onto Burroughs and Chapin for an out and back section
- Turn right onto Robert Grissom Parkway
- Turn right onto Granddaddy Avenue for an out and back section
- Turn right onto the greenway alongside Grissom Parkway
- Turn right onto 62nd Ave North
- Turn right onto Ocean Blvd and head south to enjoy the beautiful beachfront views
- Turn left at 2nd Ave into the parking lot at the pier
- Turn left onto the boardwalk with just about 1/2 mile left and finish right at the Pavilion in the heart of Myrtle Beach and feet away from the sand.
