July is National Ice Cream Month and National Ice Cream Day is on Sunday, July 19. To celebrate, some Myrtle Beach ice cream shops and other businesses are offering discounts and freebies.

Carvel: Every Wednesday at Carvel’s Ice Cream and Cakes. Buy one classic soft ice cream sundae, get one FREE. There are two Carvel stores located in the Myrtle Beach are: Barefoot Landing and 501 Tanger Outlet Mall.
Cold Stone Creamery: Join the Cold Stone Rewards Club and get a BOGO FREE Cold Stone Creation dessert. You’ll also get a BOGO FREE Creation dessert on your birthday, and $5 off purchases for every 50 accumulated points.
PetSmart: PetSmart stores that offer boarding (PetsHotel) are giving away FREE doggie ice cream sundaes on July 14- 15.
Ripley’s Believe or Not! Odditorium: Guests get a FREE ice cream cone from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 15.
Sonic Drive-In: Get half price shakes and ice cream slushes after 8 p.m.
Steak N’ Shake: This isn’t a National Ice Cream Day special, but it’s yummy enough to add to the list. Get half price shakes and drinks during Happy Hour from 2 pm to 5 pm on weekdays.
