Are you and the kids ready for some Sensory Friendly Family Fun? Then head out to the Myrtle Beach State Park for these sensory-friendly events. Kids of all ages are welcome to attend. This event will be held on September 23, 2023, from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.
- The first activity is called Catch of the Day, where, at the end of the fishing pier, kids can see firsthand what sea creatures have been caught that day around the dock.
Local fisherman will show off their catch of the day. What will be seen is a mystery, maybe some fish, sharks, or even jellyfish.
The surprises will continue as new catches are added to the pool; who knows, they might catch a mermaid.
- Next is the Live Creatures at the Nature Center, where kids can see and touch some live creatures, forest animals, crabs, snails, or snakes.
The park will reserve shelter B-3 for games and crafts and lunch, be sure to bring your child a sack lunch.
