Go to a movie.
To save money at the movie theater, opt for an early show. Shows before 6 (in some cases 7) p.m. are a few dollars cheaper per ticket. You might also save on snacks if you’re planning to go to dinner after the movie.
See a show.
Here are some relatively budget-friendly options for Valentine’s Day:
- Comedy Cabana: Love & Laughter With Chris Monty. 2 shows on Valentine’s Day.
- Asher Theatre: James Stephens Lionel Ritchie Tribute An Asher Valentine’s Day Special , 2 shows for Valentine’s Day.
- Alabama Theatre: ONE The Show Entertainment featuring gospel, country, rock, pop and Broadway tunes.
Go for a carriage ride.
The Market Common is offering FREE carriage rides from 3 to 6 p.m. on Valentine’s Day.
Visit a winery.
For $10 per person, you can get the Deluxe Wine Experience at Duplin Winery in North Myrtle Beach. It includes 10 wine samples, a souvenir wine glass, Duplin Gourmet Crackers, and Duplin Gourmet Cheese Dip. The winery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on February 14.
La Belle Amie Vineyard in Little River is running a FREE Wine Wednesday event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Valentine’s Day. It includes live music, concessions, wine tastings ($5), and drinks for purchase.
Catch an art exhibit.
The Franklin G. Burroughs Simmeon B. Chapin Art Museum has several exhibits that will be open on February 14.
Museum admission and all of the exhibits are FREE. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on February 14.
Play miniature golf.
