If you enjoy watching others dance, here’s an event for you. The National Shag Dance Championships (NSDC) will take place March 12-14, 2020, at The Spanish Galleon at the OD Beach & Golf Resort (at the end of Main Street) in North Myrtle Beach.
General admission tickets are $15 on Thursday, $20 on Friday, and $25 on Saturday, and are available at the door.
The NSDC is the longest continuously running shag dance contest in the United States. Past winners have performed on popular television shows and at national events, including Good Morning America, CBS This Morning, PGA Annual Banquets, NBA Games, Beach Music Awards, and Harvard University.
The contest starts at 8 p.m. on Thursday, and at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. The doors will open an hour before the competition.
