For more than 25 years the North Myrtle Beach Community Band has provided residents of the Grand Strand the opportunity to both perform and appreciate the fantastic works composed for concert band, with that in mind, you are invited to a FREE Celebration of Music, Sunday, February 20, at 4 p.m.
With everything we have endured over the past few years, what is truly worth a Celebration?
Mark your calendar for Sunday February 20th, invite family and friends to the FREE Celebration Concert Event presented by the North Myrtle Beach Community Band at the Myrtle Beach High School Auditorium.

On this night, the North Myrtle Beach Community Band will premiere “The Land Called Chicora” by Paul Murtha, which was commissioned specifically to celebrate our group’s 25th anniversary of making music for our community!
Other selections from our program will also celebrate:
– The courage of Rosa Parks with “Today Is The Gift” by Samuel R. Hazo
– A salute to American pilots abroad with Kenneth J. Alford’s “Eagle Squadron March”
– Our first responders with Robert W. Smith’s “Suite for the Heroes Among Us”
The band will also present “Rondo for Horn” by Richard Strauss which will feature our principal French Horn, Mr. Andrew Gore as a soloist.
