Join us for an afternoon of fun and competition at Myrtle Beach Games in Socastee on Sunday, July 16 at 1:30 pm as we play a 24-person tournament of Dodos Riding Dinos!
Myrtle Beach Games is located at 4050 Socastee Boulevard, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588 (across from Socastee High School).
Requirements: This in-person tournament is open to all skill levels, but the game is rated for ages 14 and up; you will be asked to rate the game at BoardGameGeek.com.
The Venue: Our venue, Myrtle Beach Games, is the perfect location for this event. With plenty of space to move around and comfortable seating, you’ll feel right at home as you battle it out.
The Game: In Dodos Riding Dinos you play as a Dodo & Dino team that must use your dexterity skills, strategic card-playing, and sheer dumb luck to fire projectiles in this zany competition inspired by kart racing video games.

Entry into Dodos Riding Dinos US Nationals Championship
Official Rules
Qualifiers will play 3 games with the following characteristics:
Each game can be a maximum of 12 rounds which will be counted with a 12-sided die, turning it each time the first player token passes.
Each game can last a maximum of 60 minutes.
The maximum time for card selection during the preparation phase is 15 seconds.
Racer’s unique abilities are disabled.
At the end of the game, the participants receive points according to their position:
Winner (or leading racer at game end) receives 5 points.
The second position receives 3 points.
The third position receives 1 point.
The players with the highest score total after all 3 rounds will proceed as Finalists.
Finalists will play 1 game with these additional characteristics:
Racer’s unique abilities are enabled, with the following selection dynamics:
Randomly select the starting player of the game. Starting with them and following the turn order. Each player selects 1 racer and returns its miniature and card to the box.
The remaining racer cards are shuffled and then deal 2 to each player.
Each player selects a racer from the 2 cards they have been dealt.
Tie-breaker: the player with the most cards in hand wins.
Sudden Death: If a tie prevails, whoever completes the inner track jump on Boreal Sky in the fewest attempts will be the winner.
