The City of Myrtle Beach will be implementing traffic and pedestrian safety rules for this upcoming Labor Day weekend.
If you or someone you know plans to “cruise the boulevard” this weekend, make sure they know about the changes.
Remember, the setting off of fireworks are not allowed within the city limits of Myrtle Beach.
Let’s all have a safe, fun, and prosperous 2021 Labor Day weekend.
Looking ahead to the Labor Day weekend, Myrtle Beach City Manager John Pedersen today signed Executive Order 13, which restricts or limits the use of golf carts and mopeds on Ocean Boulevard during the holiday weekend, September 4-7. As discussed at Tuesday’s City Council meeting, the one-way traffic pattern also will be in place on Ocean Boulevard during the Labor Day weekend. Boulevard traffic will flow southbound from 29th Avenue North to South Kings Highway, while the northbound lane will be reserved for emergency vehicles.
